About Coach

Hello! I grew up spending a lot of time inside and not being very adventurous. I started playing soccer from 10-14 years old and then started playing football in high school. This is where my love for weightlifting started and blossomed. After high school, it took me a a couple of years to get back into working out between going to the YMCA and Planet Fitness, but I had a friend that invited me to try CrossFit here at CrossFit Serenity. From the first workout, I was immediately hooked by the overflowing rush of adrenaline I felt during and after the workout! From here I was a member for 2 years before getting my Level 1 coaching certification. After that everything snowballed into the life I have now, from relying on working out to improve my mental and physical health, to meeting new challenges like half and full marathons while still being able to lift heavy weight! Ultimately, the community and family I've built here at this gym is the main reason I spend many of my days here. CrossFit Serenity has changed my life in a great way I never could have imagined!

Turning Point

My turning point in my life was around 21 when I realized that I spent way too much time drinking and eating horrible. I lived a very sedentary lifestyle and never challenged myself or cared about my mental or physical health. I view myself as weak and a waste of space, but CrossFit has taught me to feel empowered and confident with who I am and what I can achieve mentally and physically.

Motivation & Passion

My purpose for coaching is to help every member have the best hour of their day and release any stress or anxiety they have. I want them to come in here and leave their worries at the door for an hour every time. Watching them push themselves and accomplishing their goals makes me feel like I can make a difference in this world and help people move in the right direction.
